Prodigal Youth Foundation – Housing Support Policy
Purpose
To support the well-being and sustainability of individuals who serve at nonprofits assisting at-risk youth,
Prodigal Youth Foundation may provide financial support for housing costs as part of its charitable mission.
Scope
This policy applies to:
Volunteers
Staff
Founders
Directors actively engaged in nonprofit work that aligns with Prodigal Youth Foundation’s mission
Guidelines
Housing support may include rent, utilities, or temporary housing assistance.
All assistance must be approved in advance by the board of directors.
If a board member or their family is a potential recipient, that member must abstain from voting.
The support must be reasonable, necessary, and directly tied to the recipient’s ability to serve the mission of Prodigal Youth Foundation.
Documentation of the need and use of funds must be maintained.
